Reciprocal Agreements
There are reciprocal agreements between O U S A and other University and College Student Unions; others have agreed that Open University students may make use of their facilities.
This means that on production of an O U S A membership card Open University students may use many of the student union facilities available to students of the host institution. These often include all social, entertainments, sports, travel and advisory services. However, O U S A members should check with the union concerned that a particular facility is available.
Please note that neither O U S A nor the Unions can guarantee that facilities will always be available.
In Region 06 (East Anglia) there are agreements with:
- University of East Anglia, Norwich
- Essex University, Wivenhoe
- Cranfield University, Bedfordshire
In addition, there are facilities available in Region 01 (London):
- Brunel University
- University of London
- University of North London
- University of East London
- University of Westminster
- Goldsmith College

Discounts
The O U S A Membership Card is not promoted centrally by O U S A. This means that it is not as widely recognised as other cards and its acceptance can be varied even within companies. For instance, one branch may accept the card whilst another may not. Our advice is to present your card in a positive manner ("You do accept a student card don't you?") and see what they say. With 200,000 O U students there is quite a large customer base waiting too be wooed by enterprising companies.
