Student ways to save at the National
Take your chances... with STUDENT STANDBY. Unsold tickets in all three theatres are sold to students for just £10, 45 minutes before performances. Plan your trip by visiting our Buy Tickets pages which will give some indication of availability (sometimes tickets sell out very quickly on the day of performance, so call the Box Office on 020 7452 3000 to confirm).
Be an early bird... with DAY SEATS. The only way to get in to that elusive 'sold out' show! A number of day seats, at £10 each, are available in person from the Box Office on the day of performance from 9.30am. May be limited to two per person.

A limited service is available from 1pm to 3pm on the first Tuesday of every month during Box Office training.
Discounts are available for senior citizens, children, full-time students, anyone receiving unemployment or disability benefits, LeedsCard holders, Equity, Bectu, Yorkshire Playwrights and NCA members.
Standby Tickets: All shows for everyone entitled to discounts:
- Monday evening - Thursday matinee: £5.00
- Thursday evening - Saturday matinee: £8.50
Book by phone or in person from 9am on the day of the performance. Subject to availability. Groups of 10 or more are entitled to discount price tickets. Buy 15 tickets and get the sixteenth free.
Educational Groups of 10 or more: tickets are £7.50 for Mon to Thu performances. Buy 10 tickets and get the 11th ticket free. (11th ticket free offer excludes The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe when groups can buy 15 tickets and get the 16th free.)
Tickets for Audio Described, Signed and Captioned performances are £8.50 for anyone using these services and for one companion.
Under 26's £5 tickets are available on Monday to Wednesday performances and bookable from one week before the performance. Subject to availability.
The West Yorkshire Playhouse is a not-for-profit, publicly funded, producing theatre company and a registered charity.
